Going to the grocery store

Sue : I may not go to the grocery store today.

John : Does that mean you are not going?

Sue : I mean that I am not sure if I will go to the grocery store today, but I might.

蘇：我的意思是我不確定我是不是會(huì)去雜貨鋪，但是我也可能會(huì)去。

John : So you are going?

約翰：那就是你去嘍?

Sue : As I said, I am thinking about it. I will decide later.

蘇：我是說(shuō)，我正在想是不是去，我一會(huì)兒再做決定。

Winning the football game

Ed : Do you think that our college team will win the football game?

Ed：你覺(jué)得我們大學(xué)校隊(duì)會(huì)不會(huì)贏了足球賽?

John : They may not.

約翰：他們可能不會(huì)。

Ed : Do you think they will lose the game then?

Ed：你局的他們會(huì)輸了比賽嗎?

John : I mean that I am not sure if they will win the game. Our team is good, but the other team is good as well.

約翰：我的意思是我不知道他們會(huì)不會(huì)贏得比賽。我們的隊(duì)伍很棒，但是另一對(duì)也很棒。

Ed : I think we will win the game.

Ed：我覺(jué)得我們會(huì)贏的。

John : I hope you are right.

Will you go on the trip

你回去旅行嗎?

Sue : I may go on a trip to Ireland next year.

蘇：我明年可能去愛(ài)爾蘭旅游。

John : You may? You are not sure?

約翰：你可能會(huì)去?你不確定嗎?

Sue : I have to save enough money to go.

蘇：我得贊夠錢(qián)啊。

John : If you save enough money, will you go?

約翰：如果存夠錢(qián)了的話(huà)，你會(huì)去嗎?

Sue : I think so. I will go if I can save enough money; I won't go if I don't save enough money. It all depends.

蘇：我會(huì)的。如果我存夠錢(qián)了的話(huà)我會(huì)去的，存不夠就不去了，視情況而定吧。

Taking a Nap

John : I may not be able to take a nap today.

約翰：我今天可能休息不了了。

Sue : Why not?

蘇：為什么呢?

John : One of my friends may come over today and if she does I won't take a nap.

約翰：今天我有一個(gè)朋友可能要來(lái)，如果他來(lái)的話(huà)，我就不能休息了。

Sue : You aren't sure whether she'll come?

蘇：你不確定他今天會(huì)不會(huì)來(lái)嗎?

John : No, she told me she'll come if she can.

約翰：不確定，她告訴我如果他能來(lái)的話(huà)他就回來(lái)。

Permission to go the washroom

Sue : No John, you must wait till the class is over.

John : But I need to go urgently.

Sue : There're only 10 minutes left.

蘇：只剩下10分鐘了。

John : Okay, but I may not be able to hold and there may be a puddle on your floor.

約翰：好吧，但我可能會(huì)控制不住，你的地板上可能會(huì)出現(xiàn)小水洼。

Sue : Please go immediately.

蘇：趕緊去吧。
