　　Heather 在家嗎

　　Laura : Hello?

　　Laura :您好?

　　Eric : Hi! Is Heather there?

　　Eric : 你好!Heather 在家嗎?

　　Laura : May I know who’s speaking?

　　Laura : 請問您是?

　　Eric : This is Eric Martin.

　　Eric : 我是Eric Martin。

　　Laura : Heather's not here right now.

　　Laura : 現(xiàn)在不在。

　　Eric: Do you know when she’ll be back?

　　Eric : 請問你知道她什么時候回來嗎?

　　Laura : She went to the store to buy some groceries. She might be back in another 20 minutes. Would you like to leave a message?

　　Laura : 她去百貨超市買買東西去了。大概20分鐘后回來。你要給她留信息嗎?

　　Eric: Yes, would you please tell her Eric Martin called?

　　Eric : 好，您能告訴她Eric Martin打過電話嗎?

　　Laura : Sure. I'll tell her you called once she’s back.

　　Laura : 好，她一回來我就告訴她。

　　Eric: OK. Thanks.

　　Eric : 好，謝謝。

　　Leaving a Message at an Office.

　　Lisa: Hi! Can I speak to Mr. John Cain?

　　Lisa:你好，我想找John先生。

　　Deck: I’m sorry. He just left for a meeting. Is it something urgent?

　　Deck:抱歉，他剛?cè)ラ_會了，有什么急事嗎?

　　Lisa: Well, I just need to ask him something about the printing job he gave us. Could you take a message for him?

　　Lisa:嗯，我想問問他關(guān)于他交給我們的打印工作的事，您能幫我給他留條信息嗎?

　　Deck: Yeah, sure!

　　Deck:行，當(dāng)然行!

　　Lisa: Okay, just let him know that the design hasn’t arrived yet, and we can’t keep the schedule if it doesn’t reach us within 2 hours.

　　Lisa:好，就告訴他設(shè)計(jì)圖還沒到，如果兩個小時內(nèi)還到不了，我們就不能按原計(jì)劃進(jìn)行。

　　Deck : Alright, I will tell him that.

　　Deck:好，我會告訴他的。

　　Laura: Hi! May I speak with Mr. Martin?

　　Laura:嗨!我想找Martin先生。

　　Lisa: Mr. Martin is not at home. May I know who’s calling?

　　Lisa: 他不在家。請問您是?

　　Laura: It’s Laura Pattinson. When can I talk to him?

　　Laura:我是Laura Pattinson。他什么時候才有空?

　　Lisa: I’m not sure when he’ll be back. Do you want to leave a message?

　　Lisa: 我不確定他什么時候回來。你想給他留個信息嗎?

　　Laura: Yes, please. Could you remind him about tomorrow’s Association party? It’s important for him to be there on time.

　　Laura:嗯，好，謝謝。您能不能提醒他一下明天的聯(lián)合會?明天他要準(zhǔn)時出席，這對他很重要。

　　Lisa: Alright. I’ll let him know.

　　Lisa: 好，我會告訴他的。

　　Forgot to Read the Message?

　　Laura: Hey! Why weren’t you there at the party?

　　Laura:嘿!你怎么沒去聚會?

　　Eric: What party?

　　Eric:什么聚會?

　　Laura: I left a message with your wife asking you to be there at the Association’s party. Didn’t you get it?

　　Laura:我給你太太留了一條信息，要你去參加聯(lián)合會，你沒看?

　　Eric: Ooops. She always pens down the messages for the calls I get in the day. I forgot to read yesterday’s.

　　Eric:啊呀。她總是寫下我白天接到電話的信息，我忘記看昨天的了。

　　Laura: Fantastic! You just missed one of the most important business events!

　　Laura: 太好了!你剛錯過了最重要的商業(yè)大事!

　　Eric: Never mind! There’ll be many other opportunities.

　　Eric:沒事!還會有許多別的就會的。
