The voting for the next president of FIFA takes place in Zurich today as the world’s governing body of football reeled from its latest corruption scandal. The four -term in command Sepp Blatter is facing a strong challenge from Jordan’s Prince Ali.Richard Colven reports.

“This vote is taking on a new significant following Thursday’s doom raids by police which saw seven FIFA officials arrested over bribery in corruption claims. FIFA is amid the worst crisis in its long history with even president Sepp Blatter admitting these are unprecedented and difficult time for the governing body. His election rival is Prince Ali of Jordan, who was backed by European Football Associations. But Mr.Blatter will not leave the FIFA without fight, and insist he can not be held responsible for the alleged criminal actions of others.

Officials from more than a dozen countries and international agencies are holding emergency talks in Thailand on the migrants crisis of southeast Asia. The majority of the migrants are Rohingya muslims fleeing a prosecution in Myanmar .But as general official reports from Myanmar, not much is expected to change for them.

”No one is expecting any flexibility in terms of how the states of Rohingya muslims here in Myanmar, and the Burmese government are very firmed ,they believe the problem is not about the way the Rohingya were treated here, but it is the trafficking network which basically been primary based in Thailand,Malaysia and solution of these problems is not here on Burmese soil in terms of treating Rohingya better ,but it is in fact cracking down on those trafficking network.
