I like to recycle. It is quite refreshing to take items that have been thrown away and redeem them to usefulness. After I was made redundant from my job, I took it upon myself as a form of self-refinement and self-regeneration to redress and refute my idleness by engaging in recycling.

我喜歡搞循環(huán)利用這一行。把一些扔掉的東西重新?lián)旎貋?，并讓這些東西恢復(fù)性能是一件使人精神愉快的工作。失業(yè)以后，我采取了自我提高和自我重生的方式，糾正和駁斥了以前的那種無所事事的閑散生活，當(dāng)了一名廢品回收員。

A few days ago, I was roaming the streets in my pick-up truck looking for items that could be recycled when a flash of light caught my eye. It was the reflection in my mirror of the refraction of light from the sun hitting the surface of a refrigerator that someone had thrown out on the street. I put it in my pick-up truck and took it back to my garage, where many an abandoned item find refuge. The refrigerator could no longer refrigerate, so I checked the refrigeration unit and added some refrigerant. I plugged it in and it worked. I celebrated by having a few refreshments like a pot of tea, a box of cookies, a six-pack of beer, and a jar of kimchee. Afterwards, I put the leftovers in the refrigerator. It was wonderful that I was able to refurbish and regenerate what someone had thrown away.

幾天前，我開著回收車在街上徘徊，尋覓一些可以被循環(huán)再利用的東西。突然，一道光線引起了我的注意。不知什么人扔了一臺(tái)電冰箱在街上，陽(yáng)光照在冰箱表面上，折射出的光芒繼而映到了我汽車的后視鏡里。我把這臺(tái)冰箱撿到回收車?yán)?，再運(yùn)回車庫(kù)。事實(shí)上，我的車庫(kù)已經(jīng)成了很多被拋棄的東西的庇護(hù)所。這臺(tái)冰箱已無法制冷了，所以我仔細(xì)檢查了冷卻系統(tǒng)，加了一些制冷劑。插上插頭以后，冰箱就能重新工作了。我用了一些茶點(diǎn)以示慶祝，如一壺茶、一盒餅干、半打啤酒，以及一罐朝鮮泡菜。之后，我把吃剩的東西放入了冰箱。這太棒了，翻新一些別人扔掉的東西，使一些廢品再生。

I have a recurring dream. That is that our present regime will reform and refine recycling policies to include refrigerators. Otherwise, the problem of old refrigerators lining our streets will recur again and again. This kind of reformism will be helpful to our society and make the members of our society more refined.

我有一個(gè)不斷重復(fù)的夢(mèng)。那就是希望我們現(xiàn)在的政權(quán)部門能改革和革新回收政策，以便包括對(duì)冰箱的回收利用。否則，街上成排的舊冰箱會(huì)不斷重復(fù)出現(xiàn)。這種改良主義將會(huì)對(duì)我們的社會(huì)有所幫助，也會(huì)使我們社會(huì)成員的精神面貌更為高尚。
