樸槿惠二審被判刑期延長(zhǎng)至25年
上周五，韓國(guó)一家上訴法院判處該國(guó)前總統(tǒng)樸槿惠25年監(jiān)禁。這是一起因一場(chǎng)影響深遠(yuǎn)的腐敗丑聞而被判入獄的案件，該丑聞使樸槿惠在2017年下臺(tái)。
Park became South Korea's first democratically elected leader to be forced from office when the Constitutional Court removed her over a scandal that landed the heads of two conglomerates in jail.
當(dāng)時(shí)因?yàn)橐粯冻舐?，憲法法院解除了她的職?wù)，樸槿惠由此成為了韓國(guó)首位被趕下臺(tái)的民主選舉領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人。同時(shí)兩家企業(yè)集團(tuán)的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人也被關(guān)進(jìn)了監(jiān)獄。
The Seoul High Court found that Park colluded with her friend, Choi Soon-sil, to receive tens of billions of won from major conglomerates to help Choi's family and fund non-profit foundations owned by her, according to the court documents.
據(jù)法庭文件顯示，首爾高等法院裁定，樸槿惠與她的朋友崔順實(shí)串通，從大企業(yè)集團(tuán)手中收受數(shù)百億韓元，以此來幫助崔氏家族和她旗下的非盈利基金會(huì)。
"Such unethical dealings between political power and financial power harms the essence ofdemocracy and distorts order in the market economy, giving the people a grave sense of loss and deep distrust of our society. A strict penalty is unavoidable," presiding judge Kim Mun-suk said in the ruling.
審判長(zhǎng)金文碩在裁決中表示：“政治權(quán)力和金融權(quán)力之間的這種不道德交易損害了民主的本質(zhì)，扭曲了市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)秩序，給人們帶來了嚴(yán)重的損失和對(duì)我們社會(huì)的極度不信任。嚴(yán)格的懲罰是不可避免的。”
A lower court had jailed Park for 24 years in April. Prosecutors appealed against that decision, seeking a tougher sentence. Park had given up on appeals.
今年4月，一初級(jí)法院判處樸槿惠24年監(jiān)禁。檢察官對(duì)這一判決提出上訴，要求做出更嚴(yán)厲的判決。目前樸槿惠已經(jīng)放棄了上訴。
Park, 66, has been in jail since March 31, 2017, but has denied wrongdoing and was not present in court.
現(xiàn)年66歲的樸槿惠自2017年3月31日以來一直在獄中服刑，但她否認(rèn)自己有不當(dāng)行為，并拒絕出庭。
Her ouster last year led to a presidential election won by the liberal Moon Jae-in, whose conciliatory stance on North Korea has led to a significant warming of ties with the North.
