我熱愛我的工作，但是我從來如此，
I loved it just as much when I thought it was a bigdeal or to make 1,000 bucks.
無論我在談大生意，還是只賺1000美元的時候，我也愛我所做的亊情。
I urge you to work in jobs that you love.
我希望你們也做自己喜歡的工作。
I mean I think you are out of your mind if you take, keep taking jobs that you don’t likebecause you think it will look good on your on your resume.
如果你總是為了簡歷上好看些就不斷跳槽，做你不喜歡的工作，我認(rèn)為你一定是腦子進水了。
I was with a fellow at Harvard the other day who was taking me over to talk.He was 28 and hewas telling me all that he had done well in life, which was terrific.
我碰到過一個28歲的哈佛畢生，他告訴我他一直以來都做得不錯。
And then I said, “What will you do next?”
我問他：“下一步你 打算做些什么?”
He said, “Well，maybe after I get my MBA, maybe I will go to work for a management consultingfirm because it will look good on my resume."
他說：“可 能讀個MBA吧，然后去個管理咨詢的大公司，簡歷上看著漂亮點。”
I said, “Wait a minute. You are 28 and you have been doing all these things, you have aresume 10 times better than I have seen.

I think if you taken another job you don't like, isn’t it a little like saving up your sex for your oldage?”

You know (what) I mean.

There comes a time when you ought to start doing what you (want).
是時候該去做自己喜歡的事情了。
I think I got an important question. So you ought to take a job. When you get out of there,take a job that you love.
我想我有個重要的問題要說，你們應(yīng)該做你們喜歡的工作，
Don’t take a job that you know you think it will look good on your resume. Take a job youlove.
應(yīng)該選擇那些你熱愛的工作，而不是讓你的簡歷看上去風(fēng)光的工作。
You may change it later on, but you will jump out of bed in the morning.
當(dāng)然，你的愛好可能會有變化。(對那些你熱愛的工作,)每天早上你是蹦著起床的。
I mean when I got out of Columbia (the university), the first thing is I try to go to work forGraham immediately. I offered to go to work for nothing.

He thought I was over-priced. But I kept pestering him.

I went out to Omaha and I sold securities for three years and I kept writing him and gettinghim my own ideas and finally I went to work for him for a couple of years.

And it was a great experience.

But I always really worked in a job that I loved doing.

You should really take a job that if you were independently wealthy that you would to take, thatis the job you would to take.
拋開經(jīng)濟因素，如果你單純地喜歡做一項工作，那么那就是你應(yīng)該做的工作。
That’s the one you are going to have great confidence. You will learn something; you will beexcited about it.
但是從中你會得到自信，你會學(xué)到很多東西，工作起來也會覺得有無窮的樂趣。
And you can’t miss, you may go to do something later on, but you will get away more out of itand I don’t care what the starting salary is.
可能你將來會變，但是做你熱愛的工作，你會從工作中得到很多很多。起薪的多少無足輕重。
I don’t know how I got off on that. But there I am.
不知怎么，扯得遠了些。
So I do think that if you think you are going to be a lot happier, if you got 2x instead of an x.you are probably making a mistake.
總之，如果你認(rèn)為得到兩個X比得到一個讓你更開心，你可能就要犯錯了。
I mean that you ought to find something you like and works with that.
重要的是發(fā)現(xiàn)生活的真諦，做你喜歡做的。
You will get in trouble if you think making 10x or 20x will be answering everything in life
如果你認(rèn)為得到10個或20個X是你一切生活的答案，那么你就有麻煩了：
because then you will do things like borrow money when you should cut comers on things oryour employers want you to cut corners on.
你想走捷徑或者你的員工讓你走捷徑，那你就會做出借錢這類的事情。
It just doesn't make any sense. You won't like it when you look back on it.
這根本沒有意義。多年以后，你會為你的所作所為而后悔。
