第十四章 介詞 like 和near 的用法

　　1. like:

　　l)像(一樣):

　　We are like brothers and sisters.

　　我們情同手足。

　　I feel exactlyl like you.

　　我和你的感受完全一樣。

　　It doesn't look like mine.

　　這不像是我的。

　　2)(like和this，that連用)這樣，那樣：

　　He is always like that.

　　他總是那樣。

　　You mustn't think like that.

　　你不要那樣想。

　　I've never seen him like this before.

　　我從未見(jiàn)他像這樣過(guò)。

　　3)(like和what連用)是什么樣子，怎樣：

　　What's the place like?

　　這地方是什么樣子?

　　What's their life like?

　　他們的生活怎樣?

　　What does it look (taste) like?

　　它是什么樣的(味道)?

　　4)用于某些成語(yǔ)：

　　It looks like snow (rain).

　　看起來(lái)要下雪(雨)了。

　　That's just like her.She's always so frank.

　　她就是這個(gè)樣子，總是那樣直率。

　　I don't feel like eating anything.

　　我不想吃什么。

　　He said he'd work like anything.

　　他說(shuō)他要拼命工作。

　　2. near:

　　1)靠近，離……很近：

　　They sat at a table near the window.

　　他們?cè)诳拷白拥囊粡堊雷优宰隆?/p>

　　The Capital Gymnasium is near the zoo.

　　首都體育館離動(dòng)物園不遠(yuǎn)。

　　Don't go near the edge.

　　不要到靠邊的地方去。

　　2)快到(某時(shí)):

　　It was near midnight when they arrived.

　　他們到達(dá)時(shí)已快到午夜了。

　　Are you near the end of the book?

　　這本書(shū)你快看完了嗎?

　　這個(gè)介詞可用于比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)：

　　Mercury is much smaller than Earth and much nearer the sun.

　　水星比地球小得多，也離太陽(yáng)近得多。

　　I was sitting nearest the aisle.

　　我坐在靠通道最近的地方。
